Green Flower

Look up at the tree, leaves rustling in dust and bee
Dusk sets itself across its airless ocean, chill drapes across grass and skin
See naught further than your feet, serenity changes tune and beat
Too fast the ink had set, only guesses lead back path’s trek.

Shine of hundreds comforted tis heart, throttled wind’s shivering stab
Hesitation only leads astray, backing fantasies of a brand new day
Forging on was of only option, correcting surprises of senseless motion.

Hands together in a comfy rub, it would soon be done: over hill and shrub
There, tiny yellow lights, alluring lost bees’ failing eyes
Sit down and take that breath, give that dread its final death.
